The law school internship program at the Westchester District Attorney’s Office is designed to provide students with valuable experience in all aspects of prosecutorial work. Interns are assigned to a Division where they help prepare cases for hearings and trials, conduct research, write briefs and assist with investigations. In some cases, interns are given the opportunity to make court appearances pursuant to the student practice order. During the summer, which is full time, the Office conducts various programs to enhance the internship experience such as presentations by various speakers.

The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office offers full- and part-time internships for undergraduate students. Full-time internships are offered during the summer and part-time internships (10-15 hours per week) are offered during the fall and spring semesters. These programs offer students an opportunity to gain public service experience, working closely with ADAs on various aspects of prosecutorial work. Students will assist with the investigations and prosecutions of criminal cases, and trial preparation. Interns may have the opportunity to go to court to observe hearings and trials.
High School Internships
At present, Westchester County District Attorney’s Office does not provide internship programs for high school students.
To be eligible, all interested candidates must currently be enrolled in school.
The Summer Semester starts the Monday, June 1st and ends on Friday, July 24th (8 weeks total)
